RENNER FOR JUDGE CAMPAIGN PLANS FEBRUARY 18 EVENT

The committee to elect Richard Renner for Tuscarawas County Juvenile and Probate Judge is planning a free-will donation event on Monday, February 18, 2008, at the Tuscora Park Pavilion from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Newcomerstown resident Jeri Starcher will make tomato sauce for spaghetti and tamales. Everyone is welcome. It will be an opportunity to meet the candidate.

''Grandparents need to be included in juvenile cases,'' Renner said. ''As judge, I will listen with respect, give everyone a chance to be heard, decide cases based on the facts, and hold people properly accountable for their actions. That is why I am a candidate for the Democratic nomination to be the Probate and Juvenile Judge of Tuscarawas County.''

Renner has been an attorney for 25 years. He has represented working families and consumer in the local legal services office and at Tate & Renner in Dover. In 2004, Renner won the Big Brother of the Year Award from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of East Central Ohio. Renner lives in New Philadelphia with his wife, Laura, a pastoral associate for St. Joseph Catholic Church. They have one daughter, Jennie, who graduated from New Philadelphia High School.

''I am mindful of the tax dollars at stake in each case," Renner adds. "The wrong decisions are too expensive. I will consider the range of community services that might be best for families and the taxpayers.'' Renner's campaign committee is called ''www.rennerforjudge.com.'' ''It is time for a change in our juvenile and probate court,'' Renner says.
