RADIO SCRIPTS FOR RENNER FOR JUDGE CAMPAIGN
SUSAN KNIGHT SPEAKS
My name is Susan Knight. I live in Dover. My husband and I adopted our grandchildren, Tyler and Paige. Then tragedy struck. My husband died while working as a deputy sheriff. Richard Renner stepped up to volunteer as Tyler's Big Brother, through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They visited weekly, did bike rides, roller skating, and later went on trips to science museums. They bonded and Richard became a positive influence in Tyler's life. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of East Central Ohio named Richard Renner their Big Brother of the Year in 2004. Now, Richard Renner is a candidate for Juvenile and Probate Judge in the Democratic Primary on March 4. Richard really listens to people and does what is right. I know he will do a good job for everyone in Tuscarawas County. He deserves your vote.

EMMA KAIL SPEAKS
Hello. I'm Emma Kail. I remember when my husband Wilbert was fighting for benefits due to a work related disease which left him disabled. He had hired some lawyers from New Philadelphia to represent him. These same lawyers overcharged him by $15,000. They froze his savings account before he had his court hearing. Richard Renner was the only attorney who would represent us. He defended us all the way to the Ohio Supreme Court, and we won. Sadly, Wilbert had died. But Richard Renner finally got the money returned to me. Now, Richard Renner is a candidate for Juvenile and Probate Judge. To vote for him, you need to ask for a Democratic ballot in Tuscarawas County. Richard Renner will make a great judge because he stands up for what's right. He really listens to people, and he believes in the grandparents' right to be heard. The AFL-CIO council endorses Richard Renner. He made a tough decision in our case. He decided on the facts, and not for the rich and powerful. Doesn't he deserve your vote?

RICHARD RENNER SPEAKS
Hi, I'm Richard Renner. For over 20 years I have been fighting for working families, consumers, and underdogs here in Tuscarawas County. Meanwhile, my wife and I raised our daughter through New Philadelphia schools. Now I volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I was sad to see grandparents excluded from cases in our juvenile court. Don't we want a judge who really listens, with respect? Shouldn't cases be decided on the facts? Won't that help families do what is right? And isn't it strong families that make our communities safer? That's why I am a candidate for Juvenile and Probate Judge in the Democratic primary. I've been endorsed by the local AFL-CIO. Sometimes grandparents really are wise. We should listen to them. I ask for your vote. To vote for me, you need to ask for a Democratic ballot in the March 4 primary. The wrong decisions are too expensive for tax payers.

Renner has been an attorney for 25 years. He has represented working families and consumer in the local legal services office and at Tate & Renner in Dover. In 2004, Renner won the Big Brother of the Year Award from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of East Central Ohio. Renner lives in New Philadelphia with his wife, Laura, a pastoral associate for St. Joseph Catholic Church. They have one daughter, Jennie, who graduated from New Philadelphia High School.
''I am mindful of the tax dollars at stake in each case," Renner adds. "The wrong decisions are too expensive. I will consider the range of community services that might be best for families and the taxpayers.'' Renner's campaign committee is called ''www.rennerforjudge.com.'' ''It is time for a change in our juvenile and probate court,'' Renner says.
