Fair Decisions. Equal Justice.
Richard Renner.
Children need their grandparents.
Richard Renner believes strongly that grandparents need to be heard when their grandchildren come before the Juvenile Court. When grandparents have become regular care givers for their grandchildren, they deserve to have party status. They deserve to have their say, call witnesses, ask questions and present evidence and argument. That is why Richard Renner is distressed by decisions that deny party status to grandparents, or that rule on a child's fate without giving notice to grandparents.
Richard Renner believes that a fresh new voice is needed in the Tuscarawas County’s Juvenile Court -- one that takes the time to listen to all the parties, get to the bottom of cases, and make the right decisions.
Richard Renner wants every child, every parent, every foster parent, every person who comes before the Court to know that they will be heard. A court is where the government has a duty to listen to the people. Richard treats every person with dignity and respect. He wants every party to know what the court expects.
Richard Renner will devote himself to each case to do what is best for our neighborhoods and our children. He believes in making troubled families stronger, one family at a time. He believes we can do better than using boilerplate sentencing. He will seek the most appropriate solution according to each family’s need.
"I am devoted to the safety of our working families. Together, we can make our communities safer and our families stronger. I value the safety, security and pride we have in our neighborhoods. As Probate and Juvenile Court Judge, I will bring equal justice to Tuscarawas County."
