AFL-CIO COUNCIL ENDORSES RICHARD RENNER FOR JUVENILE & PROBATE JUDGE
Dover attorney Richard Renner is pleased to recieve the endorsement of the local AFL-CIO labor council endorsement in his campaign for Tuscarawas County Juvenile and Probate Judge. Renner has filed to be a candidate in the Democratic Party primary on March 4, 2008.
''I believe in fair decisions, equal justice and accountability,'' Renner said on filing his petition. ''As judge, I will give everyone a chance to be heard, decide cases based on the facts, and hold people properly accountable for their actions. That is why I am a candidate for the Democratic nomination to be the Probate and Juvenile Judge of Tuscarawas County.''

Renner has been an attorney for 25 years. He worked for low income residents in civil matters at the local legal services office. Then in 1995, he founded Tate & Renner with partner Al Tate, who is now deceased. In 2004, Renner won the Big Brother of the Year Award from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of East Central Ohio. Renner lives in New Philadelphia with his wife, Laura. They have one daughter, Jennie, who graduated from New Philadelphia High School.
Renner wants to treat people with respect so they will feel personally accountable to the court for their conduct. He wants to include grandparents as parties when they have become regular care givers for their grandchildren. Renner's campaign committee is called ''www.rennerforjudge.com,'' and it has a web site with the same name.
